The Mind, Our Arena of Faith

11 Cor 10 v3-5
”For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:” – we are in this physical body but we are not participating in a physical warfare.

Vs 4: ”(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)” Strong holds are made up of thoughts that resides in your mind. Our bodies are not what we’ll use in this warfare, we are not in a fleshy nor physical fight ,we’re involved in a conflict of the mind, the devil wishes to gain control of our thinking that he can control our physical body – for our mind controls our body. If Satan can get you to think sinful then he can get you to act it out. First the mind way of thinking then the action comes in.

Seeds of thoughts
Vs 5: ”Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” – Cast down the thoughts and get rid of the image. You cannot fight thoughts with thoughts, you fight thought with spoken words or just stop thinking on those thoughts, If the thoughts become uncontrollable and you can’t turn them off then, open your mouth and speak the word (death and life in the tongue) – and the word you speak will catch the thoughts and cast them down. We must also bear in mind that our own mind itself acts as an enemy against us – we can also get caught up within our own thought speaking negativity into our life. Read your bible to know the word of God. Ask yourself who is sitting in the cockpit of your mind? Be aware of what keeps you blind, when you hear things that doesn’t line up with the word of God. 2Cor 4v4 says ”In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” Be honest with yourself and stay in the light of God’s word. We as Christians should not only read but also believe in the power of God’s word that it can overthrow the devils deceits.

Who will you let pilot your life today? Both God and Satan wants to pilot your life, the body only does what the mind tells it to – your mindset determines whether or not you walk in the physical or the spiritual. How to tell whether you’re walking in a fleshy mindset? A fleshy mindset oppose to the word of God! And when you’re in line with the word you’re walking in the spirit, it is the word that makes you spiritual. Both sinners and Christians as a mindset which determines their success or failure.

The devil works diligently to set up strong holds in our mind, he is patient and he does it through a well laid plan, deception and deceit, he argues with us by using theories and reasoning’s.
Rom12v2 ”And be no conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good. and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” – Don’t shape yourself around the comings and goings of the world. It is in the mind that we serve the Lord (spiritual mindset) – The Word, Praise and Prayer are three most effective weapons against the devil, for we wrestle not against flesh and blood.

And remember the battle is not for us to fight.
